This project in Paris, Café Coutume, by CUT architectures is a great combination of vintage interior and modern design elements. The walls and architectural columns are old and weathered, while the lights and furniture give it a contemporary touch. Overall, it looks quite chique. The use of beige and brown makes it very warm and cosy, almost like home!

We already mentioned our love for photographer Tim Walker, so we couldn’t skip this shoot with Kate Moss. The images ware shot at the Ritz, Paris, and appeared in Vogue US April 2012. Love the decadent and majestic scenes!
Minakani is a Paris based studio that create patterns and motifs for fashion, lingerie, childwear and home furnishing. They produce strong and simple designs, with a candid, vintage quirky, optimistic and poetic feel. They’ve launched their walldecor line 2 years ago, and we’re big fans! The designs are very playful and graphical. Love to have the first black and white paper in my house!
Every time you visit a foreign city, the first thing you do is search for a map. Most of them are incredibly ugly and focus on tourist attractions. Herb Lester makes alternative, modern maps and guides to the world’s greatest cities. They do a lot of research, and look for the extraordinary as well as the everyday. Old bookshops and new coffee shops, park benches and dive bars, hat shops and haberdashers: that is the world according to Herb Lester. They collaborate with many exceptional illustrators and designers, giving all maps an unique feel. Finding your way has never been this much fun!
We recently discovered the work of Paris based ( Ma + Chr ), an art and design studio founded by Mathilde Aubier and Christine Delaquaize. They cover many areas, from web to print, interior design, textile, … They have a very recognisable collage style, a mix of (old) photos and illustrated elements. Very cheerful and often with a touch of humor!
